trim tilt problem solved,2000 150HP ficht e-rude

tilt and trim would not go up or down,replaced all the relays in the PDP (power distribution panel) and still no power to trim motor, bought a new PDP from E-Rude and now it works.took the old PDP apart and found a bad solder joint ,,,, had I known enough to do this first, I could have repaired the old one and saved 500 bucks. the telltale sign was that the power coming out of the PDP panel was very weak and was not enough to operate the trim motor,but as the PDP was a sealed unit I didn't dare take it apart without having a new one on hand,,,,lesson learned.Now I have a new one in the engine and a spare on the bench.

OMC did have probs back in those days with that solder joint. You're not the first one that found this. Well anyway, you've got a spare.

seems i may have the same problem. How did u get the pdp apart?
