trim switch

2001, 200hp OPTI Max with Smart Craft . The trim switch on the motor wont work for raising the motor but the one on the Throttle and the one at the front of the boat still work correctly also the screen that shows trim in the smart craft gauge has a faulty reading, fully trimmed when completely down, Could this bad reading be a result of a bad trim switch on the motor?

Fault reading is a bad trim sender. The engine switch not working when the others are is usually the switch it self.
