Trim switch reversed?!?

The trim switch on my Mercury 115 EFI four-stroke strangely reversed function. Initially the down switch trimmed the motor up, and the up switch did nothing. I bypassed the trim limit module and now it operates in both directions, but pressing the switch up trims the motor down and pressing down trims the motor up. Does anybody have any ideas on what would cause this? I flipped the blue and green trim power wires to the trim motor to temporarily fix this, but I'd like to repair it correctly for more permanent solution. I appreciate any ideas!

If it works on both the control and the lower cowling after you switched the wires, I would leave it alone. Change the relay set and ensure all wirings are in order all the way down to the tilt motor is probably the only way to correctly fix it.
