Trim Pump bleed help, please help!

Hi guys, brand new to the forum so I apologize if this is in the wrong section.

I need help servicing my trim pump, it has decided to stop moving the motor and I believe it has no fluid as I saw a leak and have had the problem before.
The pump is partnered with a blue band 115hp merc.

I really just need to know the steps of how to bleed the hydraulics as I'm sure that's all it is.
Here are some pictures of my pump.

Thanks in advance

The electric pump was just serviced, works fine, still pumps just has no fluid. You can hear it picking up I little fluid every now and then

Add 30 weight motor oil and operate the thing.-------------The knob at the bottom must be put in the correct position.-------------Try fully turned in and fully out.--------------------Most of these units are self bleeding.

Start with the outboard in the fully up position and add fluid. Allow leg to lower to full extension, raise to full up and add further fluid. Keep repeating until fluid is to second thread of fill cap bolt (from bottom I think). No need to replace and remove bolt during fill process. Only add fluid when outboard is in raised position or when you lift the engine it will pump fluid out - don't ask how I know.

I believe it has been mentioned several times that #30 motor oil was specified by Mercury when that unit was new !!!----------Not sure why you still question that !!

Not questioning it mate, just common sense dictates you wouldn't use an oil that changes viscosity when hot in hydraulics. I didnt get the unit from new so I had no idea that's what they stipulate from the factory. Sorry if I offended you, I was still going to do it, just wanted to know if someone else had done it.

The motor won't trim so he can't trim it up to fill.
Fill it with oil and then cycle it up and down.
Then figure out where your leak is.J

If there is little or nil fluid in the system there is little or nil resistance offered. You can raise the leg by hand, especially if you wind the reverse lock screw all the way out (counterclockwise/anticlockwise).
