Trim Problems

I have two problems and don't know if they are related.

First - My trim gauge works correctly when at idle or underway at minimal rpm but tops out at higher rpms.

Second - My trim- up button only works in trailer mode.

I suspect both trim sending units are faulty but not sure if there could be another explanation.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

one is a trim limit switch that only works with the "trim up" feature once trim limit is reached the "trailer button" takes over.
The other is trim sender, that operates the gauge.From your description ,both are bad

Thanks Bt Doctur - that's what I suspected but wanted a second opinion.
