"hi guys.
as i was trimming u

"hi guys.
as i was trimming up the outdrive, one of the braided steel lines ruptured,i have been told to use caution when removing so i dont strip the threads on the piston,i have to do it today as i have the hauler set up to put the boat in on sat am.
any thoughts or helpfull hints would be greatly appreciated.

"If one went, the others are not far behind. Suggest you replace the whole set.
When you replace them run the drive up and down and watch carefully that they are not chafing on each other. That wears the braiding out quickly.
You will then need to top up the fluid and bleed air out of the system.
Try running it fully up/down a few times. That may push the air thru well enough. If not, do the bleed procedure.
