trim on 1996 90 hp evinride

tilt works fine but the trim will go up but will not go down

More info , what happens when you hit and hold the switch for motor down???-----------Does the motor turn / operate??--------Fluid level been checked ???

the motor will run and the tilt cylinders will go down if u push on the motor or put pressure w/your hand

Manual release valve looked at / checked ???

it was working fine but just quit on the trim side
or going down unless pressure is applied
