" I need to change out the trim motor and pump on a three ram with a 1990 Merc 115 outboard. Current motor and pump seem to be frozen. How do I raise the motor to get access. It seems that the hydraulic tank went dry, causing the pump to freeze and then taking out the motor too. I don't want to make things worse by forcing up the motor but I got to get it out of the way. Any suggestions? "
 
" There is a pressure release

" There is a pressure release valve screw. I'm not sure where it is on your unit but, on my Evinrude it is inset at the lower right side. Loosen it and it will enable you to raise the motor. "
 
have you tried tracing back th

have you tried tracing back the two wires that feed the pump motor and then hook up a battery to those two wires to see if the pump motor goes.
