Trim lines to lower unit?

Please tell me how y'all do it. Stupid engineering should have made lines steel have way up inside transom. Then had flex lines.
I just done 2 , 4.3 an 3.0. Alpha 1 gen2.

Guessing no 1 has had to replace these lines. If so please reply. I know how now with out removing engine.
