Trim Guage

I have a 2004 90hp 2 cycle Mer

I have a 2004 90hp 2 cycle Merc. It has a factory installed power trim unit. I want to install a trim guage on the dash but cannot determine where to connect guage. I don't see any type of sending unit on the trim assembly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to put one there on t

You have to put one there on the 90. It was not factory installed. There is a screw slot in the tilt ram cross pin on the port side where it attaches with two screws.

Run the wire into the motor pan and plug it into the matching brown/white lead that comes out of the key switch cannon plug.

There was a complete kit made for this engine. I don't remember the part number.

Thanks Bandit. I've seen the brown and white lead with cannon plug and wondered what it was for. Now I know.
