Trim gauge wiring help

I have a 1995 48 hp with the r

I have a 1995 48 hp with the red plug and on the mid section I have a tilt/trim switch with the black white and green wire but they are not connected to anything. what is the proper connection to engine/battery/gauge>

"i believe u r referring to the trim 'sender',and not the trim switch...so,the blk goes to grnd wht s grn goes to a screw that holds sender on....then,u would need a batt grnd conn also to g, a hot wire off key to 'I' term..and that should do it."
