Trim gauge and Trim not working

2018 Mercury 4-stroke efi, took the boat out today, all of a sudden, I can't trim up. Only down. Also after 2800 Rpms it limits the motor. If the motor is NOT running though, I can use the trim on the throttle and the motor and they both work fine, the motor with trim up and down fine. Only won't trim up while motor is running. And I'm guessing that's causing gaurdian? Thanks in advance. What do you think. I was leaning towards the trim sender? I'm also fairly new at boating and outboards.
 
I am under warranty but im assuming they are going to tell me to wait a few weeks. But if the sensor is cheap I'd be happy to replace it for now and keep it moving.
 
Sounds like a relay issue. Mine has 2 relays, one for up and one for down. If you want to try it out yourself, just swith the relays and see if the problem is switched around.
