Trim Drifting Down

I have a 1997 Johnson 60 tiller that the motor drifts down until it hits the trim rods and stops. Would this be O rings on my trim cylinder or a valve problem?

Is this leaking down in TRIM or TILT ??

Sorry it drifts down until it hits the trim cylinders. I see no leaks added fluid yesterday and no change.

Maybe its a o-ring for the manual release Racer will know how to operate it possibly it is not fully closed?

I just checked the manual release and it was tight i even loosened it up and it drops twice as fast with the manual release than when it drifts down.

Not sure if you can find the right size O-rings but that would be my first thing to try. Make sure they are the nitrile type rubber your local hardware store or possible auto part store?

Get a factory service manual as they have a good procedure and pics for trouble shooting the unit.
