Fact ----that was not a popular item in 77 for a 70 HP.-----And the factory unit was not the greatest thing.-----Not sure what scrounging can be done in your area.-----A donor motor 3 cylinder ( 49 cubic inch ) from 1979 to about 1988 will work.----Just put your powerhead and lower unit on the mid section.-----Or perhaps an aftermarket unit.

Thanks Far the comeback on this.
And that is exactly what I found out
In the last couple of days This motor is going on a 15 foot whaler sport that I'm turning into a flat boat. So I've got to get that motor up. Be able to get that motor up. Do you think a hydraulic Jack plate would do me as well as trim?..s.tdIy
