Trim and tilt unit for 1996 60hp

Hi,

I am hoping someone can give me some advice. I have twin 60hp BE60ELEDR 1996 evinrudes, the models without trim and tilt units fitted. I would like to fit Trim units but would like to know:

firstly if trim can be fitted to these models, and
secondly if a 90hp T&T unit will fit as someone is stripping one for spares and i can get a unit from them

Any advice appreciated.

I know what fits what-------------------You can click and this site and get the list of motors that use the same unit.------------Start at ------engine diagrams------ and then click some more.----------May take you some time but the list can be found.-----------------------You won't learn if I post the simple answer will you ?
 
You right I could but that's why I posted on this forum, to get advice from people in the know. I am not a mechanic just want advice if I should buy the unit to fit my motor
 
the trim and tilt unit for the 3 cylinder engine is the same as for a 225hp etc.
racerone is correct in that it will fit, these are called the fastrack power trim and all the same units.

I have the same engine in 1995 60hp version and that is identical to the 225hp etec.

just buy it and fit it up, and remember to buy the extra trim switch for the side of engine cowl, its real handy to have.
you will also be needing the solenoids, all easy to obtain and fit.

also understand your point in asking, if people dont want to answer they should not answer or atleast dont be rude, it is only easy when you know how, and
everyone has to learn.

looking up parts is fine, but you cannot look up to see if a part fits when I was never made for that model in the first place.
 
It depends on the year I am pretty sure yours as a 1996 needs the fastrac unit if the 90 is before 92 it may not work. The fastrac and the old style don't interchange.
