The trim is working intimatel

The trim is working intimately. When it is not working I can take off the engine cover then I can hear a clicking when I try to use the trim. I took off the cover of a rectangle black box with two phillips screws on it to where the clicking came from to find what looked like two relay swithes. I swithed the two relays because they both had the same model # and this did not help. I think this is an electric problem because it is works sometime. It's like its grounding out or something.

" Mallard.... Trace the PTT electric motor wires back to where it is connected (usually a plug in connector) and unplug it. Using small jumpers connect the battery (+) voltage to one of the two wires leading to the electric motor, and connect the battery (-) voltage to the other wire.

The electric motor should run in one direction. Reversing the wires should make it run in the opposite direction. If so, this proves that the electric motor is fine. If not, the electric motor needs repairing or replacing.

Usually the problem is due to either a loose wire connection, or a tight but corroded, dirty connection. Double check all the connections, even at the battery. Hopefully you have a minor problem.
