Transmission Issue???

1989 Johnson 70hp

Coming down from running at 4500rpm for a few minutes to 3000rpm there seemed to be a lack of power going back up. Giving throttle seemed to give no response. I'll call it slippage. After getting to low rpm and going back up it seemed fine. A one time occurrence. What was that all about???

No slippage. Transmission is direct drive. No slipping clutches, no low oil pressure...this aint a car.
Cannot answer your question exactly...but NO SLIPPAGE.

Need more info.
