Tough Steering

Hey guys,

Have a 3.0 Mercruiser Alpha one gen II (2001) and the mechanical steering has gotten very hard. It is a rack and pinion system. When i disconnect the cable from the drive the steering is loose as could be so I don't think it is the steering system I think it is the drive itself. Ive been having a tough time trying to find some information on it. I know there are two swivel pins but not sure where they can be lubricated. I have grease fittings as well, do these grease the pins. Anyone got any ideas.. Thanks guys..

Pumped grease in it, no immediate change... Bt Dr I just removed the clevis pin at the end of the steering cable connecting it to the steering lever and the cable moved very freely

Alright finally got the boat out of the water and a day to do it, greased everything up again, lubed the cable and steering arm, made sure all steering cable components are free (swivel arm, cable, everything is free and loose)... Should I just start pulling the outdrive apart to get to these swivel pins...
