Totally confused ????

Think I bought another headache.

1984 90hp 6 cylinder Mercury

I can not find a + or - battery cable on this engine. How does the starter get power.

Motor is still on the boat that it was running on.

Tried to post picture but cant for some reason.

Start at the battery and follow the wires where - grounds on the block and where + goes to the starter solenoid !!

There are only small maybe 10-12 ga wires going from the battery. ??
