Torque specs

I have a 1988 sea ray the moto

I have a 1988 sea ray the motor(130 in line 4cyc) and drive(alpha 1) are labeled as mercruiser on the valve cover starting with Ob on serial number.The question is should I be following the mercruiser specs or gm specs seems like the head had gm stamped in the inside .The manual I bought is telling me 90 lbs for head bolts on gm and 130 lbs for mercruiser.Please help I confused ty Darrin

You should be using the 90 lbs

You should be using the 90 lbs torque. The mercruiser they are refering to is a block made by merc and a head made by Ford. 3.7 litre or 170 hp or 470 as it's commonly refered to. But with your 130(or 3.0 litre) GM specs are right.
