torque lean

I have a 1999 16 foot smokercraft with 40 hp Force motor. When up on plane it leans hard to port side. I have learned this is from outboard torque. Is this something the self leveling trim tabs will help with or do i need something more than that. Thanks
 
Did the motor come with the boat as a package or added later?

Thing that could make it lean>> motor not straight on the boat, boat not loaded properly, the trim tab on the bottom of the motor not installed right.
Load: Fuel tank and battery mounted on the same side as the driver.


Trim tab setup: if the boat pulls left then the tab needs to be loosened and turned to the left(as you stand behind the motor)

Self leveling tabs help in minor cases of lean.
The hydrolic ones help but I don't think they should be used on such a small boat??
