Tools for rebuilding Volvo 280

Aloha,
What are the absolute necessarytools for rebuilding a lower unit in a 280 outdrive? I can get through the upper unit with the tools I have. I used to be a mechanic and have quite a few tools, but no Volvo specialty tools. Looks like the needle bearing installation tool would be one. Any more?

Mike, the lower unit will be more special tool specific than the transmission will be. And it would certainly help if you were to have Hypoid gear experience.

Unless you have the V-8 engine, or have suffered water damage, these lowers seldom require bearings.
Seals, yes!

If you have one of the OHC 4's, these lowers are in the dime/dozen category.
I can hardly give them away!
A good used lower will save you from the time/expense.
 
Thanks Rick! I actually have a diesel AQD40, so I need the 1:6. She sounds really gritty like the bearings are worn. I actually have a couple of other complete outdrives, but the gear ratio is not correct. Any leads on a good used lower that does not cost an am and a leg?
