I have a 99 DF 70 that I bought a year (been rebuilt). I ran it all last summer. Decided to change oil this year. Checked the oil and it showed to be way over full on the dipstick. Drained oil and got about a gallon out (it did look great and had no indication of water or fuel in oil). Replaced filter and added 3 quarts of oil, fan it a bit checked oil and shows to be over mark on the dipstick. I'm wondering if I have the wrong dipstick. How do I tell? I verified the engined with the serial number on the cowling.....
The manual shows 5.2 quarts with a oil filter. Anybody got any other thoughts?
thanks
