There is way too much metal in the lower unit fluid in my 2000 150 Johnson, I change the fluid sometimes twice a year due to long hours of fishing (Trolling)
it was clean at the end of August when I replaced it, why all the metal now. I use the proper fluid for the motor and always replaced it every year."
