yes that serial number shows

yes that serial number shows to be a 1968. what exactly is wrong with the lower unit? you can buy most any part you need for it at any merc dealer or after- market parts thru a lot of napa stores.

tom just got home from work i

tom just got home from work i bought the boat for $500 16-5 ft bass boat didnt know much about it it has a crack in the lower unit on the right side of the shaft ran it with the ear muffs on and drained the oil. should say oil and water out of it talked to a few people said if the gears are alright you still couldn"t weld the crack the motor runs fine do you think i should sink more money into it or sell it? ps thanks tom for responding garry
