Hellos everyone!

I would like to know how can I make more power in my 5hp 4 stroke? Can I interchange parts with the 6hp or 8hp or maybe port the motor and jet the carburator or change the cam or something

I hope someone can help!!

Ok great and any other posible thing that I can do to it ?

Don't over fill the oil; don't run synthetic oil; use FC-W rated 10w-30.

Check WOT RPM with a tach to verify you have the best prop pitch. If it's on a sail boat, get the High Thrust prop.

Check jack height to make sure you are not too deep in the water, unless it's on a sail boat.

Ok I'm using synthetic oil I live in the tropic so I use 20-40.
I use the motor on a 9.4 water tender and it run awesome but when I put 3 people or more weight in the tender it doesn't run like it should be that's why I want a little more power. when I'm by myself it runs 15mph on a plane

Here is a video of it you can check more videos on my channel:

Still don't run synthetic; it will cause oil gain.
That boat is rated 5 hp. 6 May be OK, but it adds 20% hp, which is above the rating insurance companies will allow... if they know.
The boat is not expected to plane with 3 or more people at 5 hp, but might at 6 hp, if everything is perfect, including flat water, and well-distributed weight.
Verify the jack height and trim for optimal performance at load. You want the antiventilation plate just below the water surface, and the splash plate just above the water level at speed.
If your WOT RPM is significantly below 5500 (verified by tachometer), reduce prop pitch. In the 6 hp configuration, you want to get close to 6000 without exceeding that speed. You may even want 2 different props: one for light loads (more pitch) and one for heavy loads (less pitch).
