"I'm concidering bying a 9.8 2-Stroke for my sailboat (weight/power=superb, just forget the 4-stroke engines!) Someone told me that manual start is more reliable than electric start. Is that true? Other advantages/disadvantages?"

"Unless you have a source for some bootleg two-strokes, you are stuck with four-stroke power. Were the old hand crank model T Fords more reliable than the ones with electric start? I suppose it depends on your point of view. Electric start is an additional system, not a replacement system so I don't think you can say one is more reliable than another."

Wrong. The 4-stoke is 37 kilos, the 2-stroke is 26 kilos. - 26!!!!. Amazing"

why would you want electric st

why would you want electric start it adds 5-10 ibs and they dont even need it they start in two pulls and arent hard to pull

But my dealer had a huge stock, and i just bought his last 9.8 !
