tohatsu 70 a2 powertrim

Hi, i just got me a old tohatsu 70 a2 with a defektive/stuck bracket and destroyd powertim.
i wonder if the complete bracket/powertrim will fit from any other models, like a tohatsu 70 b model ?
or others..

Probably not an exact match on the PTT unit. The 70A did not originally come with one in the US, so I can't say for sure. Maybe... maybe... a bracket from a B model will interchange, but I have no way to tell for sure.
If the steering and tilt shafts are frozen, you may (or may not) have some luck with heat and grease.
That motor is 25-30 years old. Salt takes its toll on them.
 
Thanks for the reply, with some hours work, the stuck tilt shaft gave up ;) and i have made a locking bolt so i can reverse without the motor tilting,
only some minor fixes left to do, and im all set to mount it on my boat.
Ill keep looking for a powertrim unit on ebay, in norway ppl believe this part is made of gold, a old used one cost $1000 :(
