Do I need to worry? Yesterday at idle speed the motor was run aground. Not even a scratch on the skeg but the prop was shined up pretty good, not bent at all but dug up a little bit. No problems noticed running afterwards except when turned from side to side you can hear a squeaking. Should I be concerned?

As long as the prop hub didn't shear you are probably OK. If it were to hit very hard, you could twist a driveshaft (or worse). That seems unlikely at this point. You may want to lube the zerk fittings for the steering, or the squeak could just be that you have the steering friction very tight.

Thanks for the quick response. Yes I ran the engine for another hour after that and there were no problems with performance. I wil grease the steering...
