tohatsu 25 hp

I am looking at buying a 25 hp tohatsu but i need some information I was hoping somebody here could help me. The model # is m25b serial# is 346a-28798. I would like to find out the year and if its a good motor

It was a good motor in its day, but that day is past. I personally wouldn't spend money on it. Our shop doesn't have records that go back that far; It's at least 25 years old. New parts will be pretty much nonexistent, though if you have a donor motor, you might be able to keep it running for a while. Once the impeller is shot, you're done, unless you can find an aftermarket impeller that fits. thanks for your help you were right tohatsu has no idea what year the motor is and also parts are impossible to get
