To delete or to not delete (oil injection)

My 2001 XR6 150 runs like a top, except the stupid oil injection system. Last year it stopped pumping up from the remote tank to the engine mounted tank. Days of testing and all I can conclude is that the crank case pressure is too low. No leaks, bad valves, etc. If I hook up my mightyvac pressure/vacuum pump to it oil flows up no problem.

So I have been topping off the little tank every week or so.

However now I have a new problem where something (presumably the pump) is hemorrhaging 2 stroke oil if I tilt my motor up (I do this while salmon trolling so it reduces drag). I tilt it up for a couple hours, lower it down and cause an EPA violation. I pulled the hat and could see oil and bubbles flowing back up from the T where the oil meets the fuel line back into the pump. There shouldn't even be vacuum there so I don't know what was with that. Starting it up sent it back the right direction.

Anyway, I'm getting tired of dealing with this. Pre-mixing fuel will be a pain (I guess I mix up the amount I think I will need in a small can and pour it in before fueling up at the station?). Or do I actually need to mix 5 gallons to dump in at a time? My kicker is a 4 stroke so I wasn't going to run 2 stroke fuel through it but I'm told that won't matter.

Having BTDT to a 90 2 stroke I had and not doing it to a 115 2 stroke, my comment would be: Ensure that you don't run the engine without proper lubrication however you solve that problem. Having to calculate the proper ratio for premix is a bit of a nuisance...like dump a quart of oil in and put in 12 gallons of gas....not enough or too much to fill the tank is the demeanor. But on my engines as I got much older, I used my boat seldom and pre-mix solved my initial start up smoke screen since a measured amount of oil went in when the gas arrived... not oil, oil, oil, and finally gas catches up with the oil and the engine lights off. On the 4 stroke, 50:1 would make for good upper lube for valves and such.
