Timing Volvo 21 85 Bayliner

Hi I have another Timing quest

Hi I have another Timing question on my 85 bayliner volvo 2.1 aq125b should the timing be 10 deg BTDC @ 900 rpms ? I know that is what the book saids BUT it also says 4 deg BTDC when useing 90 octan gas 10 degs when useing 95 octan ??? But I use 89 octan So the question is should my timing be 10 or 4 when useing 89 oc ?? I think the book is wrong... but who knows Thanks for all the help.........
 
@ higher rpms the temp will ge

@ higher rpms the temp will get hot around 220. I noticed the timing belt was loose the tencher was not working I fixed it. I think because the belted was loose @ high rpms it was throwing the timing off causeing it to run hot ! What do you think ?
