Timing marks on crank set up

When taking apart I forgot to note gear marking
positions ?

None of the literure I have shares that markings..

"Usually you first align the cam at 6 o'clock with the crank at 12 o'clock, then set your valves with the cam gear at 12 o'clock if my memory serves me correctly. Pretty sure this is how my 327F and an old Crusader was, I would think a 4 should be the same. Make sure the #1 piston is at TDC with both valves closed, the next valve to open would be the exhaust valve. Hope this makes sense."
