I think I just found the source of my drone / port motor running like a paint shaker!!!! What do you think of this weird thing??
Before I tell you let me say that I bought the engines/boat like this, I never touched this part of the engine.
So, I removed both the port and starboard black timing belt covers from the twin 1997 Honda BF90 outboards. I rotated the starter gears until the "T" on the gear lined up with the "T" on the black plastic on both motors. Then I looked at the cam gear on the Port motor and the arrow lined up with the #4!!!!!!! The Starboard engine's cam gear lined up with the "T".
My timing is 180 degrees off !!??
I have an extra cam gear that the timing belt goes around and there is a pin in it so it's keyed. This means it's not just put on wrong, it's really rotated to the wrong position.
What do you think?
