I have a Volvo AQ145 motor and I'm having a bit of difficulty getting it started. I had the cylinder head machined due to a warped head/blown head gasket and have it all put back together but it does not start. I verified the fuel pump is pumping fuel and that I have spark.
I'm unsure about timing however for the gear/cam that drives the fuel pump and spins the distributor. My top cam has the notch that lines up with the top of the valve cover, and my crankshaft pulley also lines up with the 'zero' marker on the water pump section. When I removed the water pump and plate, that pulley underneath it which is also driven by the timing belt, has the timing mark at almost 3 o'clock. Where should the timing mark should be or is that correct? I can't find any sort of markings around it.
Thanks all!
