" I don't know if there's a differance between a standard and digital light but it should be straight forward enough. Hook the light to the bat. and the lead to the #1 plug wire. If equiped, disconnect and plug the vacuum advance, set the idle to 800 or 1300 RPM (whichever is correct for your engine) and pull the trigger. The timing mark is on the harmonic balance and the plate is attached to the timing cover. Turn the distributor until the mark is at the desired mark. Maybe I misunderstood the question but hope this helped.
