Timing Advance for 1985 90 hp Evinrude

E90MLCOS, I have the service manual but it states to look at the decal on the motor. That decal is missing. Any help is appreciated. John

i dont have the manual on timing but make sure that little roller in the slot has not lost the fiber covering off the little bearing...it cracks and you can usually find the pieces down in the bottom....probably tan in color...

Thanks papyson, my roller seems to be fine. I spoke to an experienced J/E mechanic who said the max should be 24 degrees. When I checked mine that is what is was. John
