Timing 502 mag mpi

Hi all
Can someone confirm how to deactivate ignigtion advance, on Mercruiser electronic ignigtion, is placing a jumper between terminal A and B in the DLC connector the way to due it ?
my engine is a 502 mag mpi.. from 1999.
