Timer base technical question. Please help!

I have test my stator and timer base for my 1973 evinrude 85 horsepower and have come up with that fact i need to replace both. I am pretty mechanically inclined and confident i can fix the problem myself. What my question is is that I took off my timing base (because it tested out of tolerance for resistance) and need to replace the trigger magnets but i dont want to replace the whole assembly. Do they even make the trigger sensors separately for purchase? Seems like a waste to have to buy the whole assembly when there is really only two small sensors that go bad. everything else is just a housing...

Thanks in advance

p.s I have tried searching all over before posting and couldnt find anything. If you guys know of a topic that is the same, i would be happy to read it and follow that thread. Just couldnt find anything.

You must realize that it is nearly impossibly for both these components to be bad at the same time.----------What is your motor doing / not doing ??

I don't have spark on one bank. When I test resistance across one sensor, I get 8 ohms. When I do the other, I get 200 ohms which makes me believe that the one is bad. Also when I check the stator resistance across the two leads at the power pack I get somewhere around 680 ohms but when I check it to ground, I get a resistance reading and I thought I read it was suppose to be infinite. And there is that hard goo on top of my engine so I figured the stator is going as well. It looks like the original stator

Still searching for replacement sensors. I find them for different evinrude motors in the same year but different 85hp/model number. They look the same and mounting looks identical but not sure if they will work properly. Does anyone know much about these trigger sensors? Are they pretty cut throat on what parts are on the inside of the housing?

these are what i find on a quick search. Hoping to find them for cheaper than 120 per sensor since i have 2.

Thanks ahead of time
