"How do you know when your timer base needs to be replaced. As instructed by jwb in previous post I checked to see if it was touching the High speed adjust at full throttle , it was not , maybe about 1 inch shy . I have reason to believe that it is not touching because of the threads being stripped on the bolt that holds the levers that the throttle cable is connected to. It seems that the spring does not have enough pressure to pull the timer base all the way round to the high speed adjust. Am I on the right track ? how do I correct this issue."
