Tilt Tube Replacment

Can anyone tell me how to replace the tilt tube on my 1974 115 evinrude. It have never been replace and it has a lot of corrosion on the ends. The thread are broke off on the right side.

Lift the motor ----------push / poll the tube out and push in the replacement.--------------------If used in salt water some effort may be required.
 
Push out on the left side or the right side. Yes it has been in salt water. Can i put heat on it or a lot of penetrate oil
 
Either side , does not matter,----On one side you have threads and maybe you can attach an adapter for a slide hammer.----Also you could weld a hefty washer on one side so that you could use a long punch and hammer to drive it out.
