Tilt/trim pump and motor

I have a 1984 Force with 85 hp. The tilt/trim pump has been bleeding down since I've owned the boat and last week the pump motor finally gave up the ghost.
I've found a guy in Ebay that has new pumps and motors and the price is reasonable. He doesn't even want the core. These are aftermarket systems and I'm guessing made overseas someplace. Probably China.
are these pumps and motors ok or are they junk or would they be ok.
Would I be better off having someone rebuild my current system?????

you know I had a starter give out on me and took it in to get rebuilt and he told me to buy a cheep one off e bay. Its made in china and works great. You may ask someone that would rebuild it and see what they say and weight out the cost. look at it this way you will have a spare you could rebuild in the future

JUNK!!!! Maybe 1 -2 seasons at the most.Same with the starters. I rebuild ALL of mine myself. With OEM parts.
Go to iboats.com and post on the Force forum.
Ask for RRITT he rebuilds them.
A lot cheaper and MUCH better results.Tell him Jerry sent Ya.

Sent ya a PM.

the motors are surprisingly well built. The pumps however, are not. I sell them and they have a high failure rate out of box. I bet the failure rate is really high the day after warranty runs out.
