"Hey everyone! Can someone please let me know what is the part number for the Tilt Retraction Spring? I have a '95 BF8A, and the spring to help pull the locking bar on the tilt is missing. I can also use a little help on where I may be able to order this part. Thanks in advance. ;)"

The spring is still there, but it looks a bit deformed. I lubed everything, and same problem still, the bar won't retract out of the way.

Is this common? Seems like a new spring might fix it, but I find it wierd that this spring would 'wear out' as it doesn't seem to get stretched much."

I'm sure I need the spring you are talking about. Is it possible for you to take some pics of the spring and how it is connected to the bar? I may even be able to go down to the local Home Depot to get a new one. If you can;t post the pics here, then maybe you can email them too me. If you want to go that route, lemme know and I will PM you with my email addy."

"yeah, it's piece 11 of the 'swivel case' assy. It connects to piece 20 on one end and either 21 or 22 on the other. The idea is, that when the tilt lever is placed in down, that it stretches the spring so it rotates the catch bar out of the way.
