hi I have a slight problem with my tilt on my outboard works up an down ok but motor wont stay up gradually goes back down it is actually on a 1986 40hp evinrude and is mounted on the right hand side of motor . The cause of the problem is the check valve and the kit is no longer available but I was told to go on the Chrysler forum as someone has posted info on using a briggs and stratton carberator kit that will fit to stop a prestolite check valve from leaking. its an up market tilt that fits different outboards, its got Talon Ind on the casting I have posted a picture of the unit .View attachment 6842View attachment 6843can any one give me any info any help will be appreciated
