Nice informative forum you have here which I came across trying to understand a problem I have with my outboard
I have a 2004 Mariner 90HP 4 stroke which has so far been 100% reliable but has just developed a small problem with the tilt mechanism.
As I flick the switch to raise or lower the engine I hear unusually loud click/thunk (compared to how it used to sound) and although the engine still goes up & down it is slow and the motor making it happen seems very strained.
Any pointers to what my issue is likely to be..?
