"The nylon gear rack mounted on my steering helmet broke off this summer. I have a 1992 Volvo DP-C outdrive & it would seem to be a fairly simple replacement. However, does anyone know if the helmet will pivot down far enough to replace the rack easily (I can't see how it's attached at the top), or am I in for more work? Any advice is greatly appreciated."
