tilt brackets on 1985 merc engine broken

storm in middle of night and boat broke away from dock and was banging on rocky shoreline. Also, I am not sure it is a 1985 as some sites say it is a 1984. Do you know if they are the same . Serial number7216492, no model number

the hole where the tilt pin goes through (attached to the motor) is broken, that is the broken piece on each side. Have attached a bunch of pics, best I can do with motor on boat

I would talk to a guy in your area that repairs skegs and props.

It may be cheaper to have someone do some heli-arc and aluminum fab work, you would probably have to do all the disassembly and prep work on the cowl for him to keep the cost down.
 
Maybe he means the lock activating device or maybe the arms themselves are broke or bent.....the nice pictures don't show us inside.
