Tilt and Trim

"I currently have a 78 evinrude i am replacing with a 82. The problem is that the original power trim had 3 wires. One a constant ground and the other 2, one for each direction.

The replacement has 2 wires that reverse polarity to make the motor go up or down.

How would I properly convert to a 2 wire trim motor to work properly to my current switch in the control."

The tnt box is already wired f

The tnt box is already wired for the 3 wire. The green gets hot for one direction and the blue hot for the other.

The wires from the motor are green and blue if I hook them to the corresponding terms in the tnt control box. I have no ground. thus it will not work.

"u r going to need a relay setup,for that tnt rev pol motor..basically,any relay pack will wk...but,relays,it has to be,...as far as i am aware,there is no other way to make it function properly,w/out the relay setup."

Is there any way around getting one?"

"not that i am aware of,ur old

"not that i am aware of,ur old solenoid setup,will not wk,...i get them on ebay,to keep in stock,for jackplates,and bad,or,burnt up relay packs.new relay packs r pricey....."
