Good day, Captains!
I have 2 Volvo Penta outdrives, model XDP-B. Previously, everything was working fine, including the trim and tilt. However, the port side has stopped functioning. There’s no sound, no response on the voltmeter - literally nothing.
I tested the motor by applying positive and negative power directly to its connectors, and it works. I’ve checked the fuse and cleaned both relays located at the trim and tilt motor - everything seems fine.
I also tested the button at the throttle control by bypassing the switch and directly connecting the two cables. Nothing happened on the port side, but the STBD tilt worked. This confirms that the issue isn’t with the switch.
It seems like the problem might be with the ground. However, accessing all that stuff is quite difficult, so I’ll need to think it through carefully before making any moves.
Do you have any ideas about what else I could check? Thank you in advance!
