Tiller Handle Conversion on 50hp Yamaha -50ETLK

I have a 50hp Yamaha model 50ETLK and i bought the new Yamaha big tiller handle for it along with what i believed to be the correct conversion rigging kit for it. Everything went together great except for the throttle cable. When the tiller is in the 'idle position' the throttle cable rod on the motor end is fully retracted into the cable housing, when the tiller handle is in the 'full speed position' the throttle cable rod on the motor end is fully extended. This is backwards from what i need it to do. i need it to be retracted while full speed and extended when in idle. Does anyone have any knowledge on putting the new model yamaha big tiller handle on a 50ETLK motor.
